St Catherine’s Care Home provides nursing care for older age clients. We offer services to longer stay clients and also welcome short stay clients and provide respite care.
The home, which was converted in 1988 from an old vicarage with refurbishments carried out in 2000, is a grade II listed building. It is in a rural setting at Shipton-by-Beningbrough, North Yorkshire, on the outskirts of York city.
St Catherine’s is easily reached via the A19 at Shipton. It is within easy reach of shops, public transport and other community facilities.
Distances: Shop, post office, library, bus stop, pub within a quarter of a mile. Bank 4 miles, train station 6 miles.
We are particularly proud of our wonderful nutritious home cooking with extensive and varied menus.
A full programme of social events, creative activities and demonstrations take place. Regular outings are supervised within the York area, and a wide variety of people come into the home to meet and work with our residents; from hairdressers and aromatherapists to local schoolchildren.
